Chapbook Definition

Chapbook is a generic term to cover a particular genre of pocket-sized booklet, popular from the sixteenth through to the later part of the 19th century. No exact definition can be applied.[1]

The term chap-book was formalized by bibliophiles of the 19th century, as a variety of ephemera (disposable printed material), popular or folk literature. It includes many kinds of printed material such as pamphlets, political and religious tracts, nursery rhymes, poetry, folk tales, children's literature and almanacs. Where there were illustrations, they would be popular prints. The term is derived from chapmen, a variety of peddler, who circulated such literature as part of their stock.[2][3]

Bournemouth University Climbing

After em-amiling the logo I designed to the President of the climbing club, he said he wanted to see how it would work across the range. Good news I thought! So here it is.

Show and Tell Feedback

Leeds Bike Week

I have had a lot of feedback on this brief, it is actually put to bed now. But I thought I would put it out for show al the same.

- Stock suited colour range
- Colour amendments are good.

Leo Cinicolo Dissertation Layout

I needed feedback for which direction was working the best, I am speaking to the client later today so hopefully he agrees.

- Spine graphic is the wrong way round.
- Notebook and bookmark for extended range
- Mailer pack with work samples + stationary
- Black is the most impacting and immediate design direction, but the shaped blue direction is the most interesting. (combine?)
- Black is best x 4
- Blue is more friendly and approachable. (i'm afraid I am going to have to go with the majority vote.)
