Studies from Summer brief - Edibles

Basically this is cool. 2 colour print on a sweet rustic brown paper. Nice touch with the string as the hook as well. All really cool, got the image nailed down. Its all about image and continuity. Remember that.

Was browsing lovelypackaging.com and noticed that sweet tins often had really sharp designs. They are nice and detailed yet reserved somehow. The conmbination of type and image is great, these 2 examples are the two which i thought were the best. I really want to get into all this tiny repeated detailed stuff, and then actually create something!

I like packaging, its true.

I have done a few quick studies of image and type, very rough studies mind you. Hand drawn onto tracing paper.
I think this is quite nice tho. nice homely design, maybe the hand drawn text is a good idea...
Added some colour to this one. I don't think it has really worked. There is only so much you can do with an onion. Claiming that it is 'giant' just doesn't quite pack the punch really.

This is better. DRAW ON THE FOOD!
Its so simple. Some food doesn't work however. I tried drawing on some bread, it just wouldn't take.

These work well. They look healthy and surprisingly tasty despite being covered in ink.
